Place Your Bets

The past couple of weeks have been exciting ones. They've been filled with speculation, on our part and our friends and family regarding the gender of the baby. In fact, there have been wagers placed - what do you think; Boy or Girl? We find out on THURSDAY! If there is any interest in joining the on going pool, please contact Brian as he will get you in touch with the appropriate bookies (Lance Bruner). We've also been considering names. (TBD) We have tentatively come to the conclusion that when we find out the sex, we will choose three or four names and wait to see the kid before making a final decision. Chilly is getting rounder by the day and has picked up the beginnings of a maternity wardrobe. She has yet to experience any morning sickness and we think there will be none for the remainder of the pregnancy (20 weeks!) According to "What to Expect When You're Expecting", the baby is about 6 inches long and 9 ounces. In other news, the baby experienced its second concert this Saturday when we went to the "Blues on the Red" blues festival in downtown Grand Forks. Apparently, blues music jives better with the baby than Oasis, since Chilly was noticeably more comfortable at the blues festival. The baby has been very active inside, but still cannot be felt from the outside - no matter how often Brian tries to talk to it or read to it. Perhaps the baby just isn't a fan of Vince Flynn novels (yet). Princess Buttercup has been busy patroling the yard for grasshoppers and we're not quite sure if she realizes that there will soon be a usurper to her throne. Brian has been busy getting in shape for long nights and exhausting days of changing diapers and chasing around an active tot. He is back playing tennis, this time with grown-ups...geriatrics if you will - he's kicking ass! Stay tuned for Thursday!

I am glad to hear all is well and I am super excited to see what you guys are having (hopefully your baby doesn't keep his or her legs together... that would suck).

I miss you guys!

Boy or girl.. I need this kid to be able to wobble down an aisle by Sept of 2009.. (is that asking too much??).. Ok-- at least be able to sit up and be pulled down the aisle in a 'lil wagon..??
