We decided to take advantage of the blizzard and have a day inside. After a breakfast of pumpkin pancakes, we assembled our crib! It was quite the reality check as we were putting the finishing touches on the assembly. Once we finally got the crib together we stood there and stared at the empty crib for about 15 minutes before we decided that we had other things to do. I guess it's an indication of how we intend to spend the bulk of our time for the next 18 years - staring and waiting for something great to happen, hoping that nothing bad will happen.
It has also been inordinately cold in our house today. It is 50 below outside with the wind chill (and for you on the east and west coast, that is not an exaggeration, it is really 50 below zero here today) and our house is a frigid 60 degrees. That is why we are up, at 12:30 in the morning`writing a blog, because Brian has to wait until the quick-boiler-fixes take effect or don't take effect. It is starting to feel warmer in here though. Also, the cold water in our basement bathroom stopped working. Just another cherry on the top of a day of intense plumbing and heating frustration. I can only hope that our main floor stays 60 degrees and the basement pipes burst, then I can wake up at 6 to shovel and have a stroke. Uggh.
That should suffice for now. Back with updates later. (The first picture is of Brian in his empathy belly suit from last week's birthing class).

It's funny that Brian is so concerned with coventional gender assignments to names when he has a sister named Michael.
I want more belly pics!
