We spent Thanksgiving at Barry and Amy's with the whole Goodman family. Lilly had lots of time to play with her cousin Maddy and with 32 people there was a lot of good food! We had a smoked turkey, a roasted turkey and horseradish crusted beef tenderloin. We provided appetizers and happily ate ourselves into a food coma.
We got back around midnight and Chilly woke up at 330am to go Black Friday shopping with Brian's boyfriends and the Barry Goodman kids. IT WAS NUTS. Wal-Mart was chaotic. At least three people in our shopping group got hit with carts. Target wasn't as bad, but the lines were long just as they were at Best Buy. At 7am, Shauna, Jack and Chilly hit the mall and even that was packed too at the early hour! Consumerism in Grand Forks is definitely on the rise!
Black Friday ushered in holiday time at the Goodman household. We took Lilly to buy her first Christmas tree at All Seasons. At first she was intimidated by the pine trees, but now she's warming up to them. Michael assisted Brian with decorating the outside and Max came over to help decorate our tree. Although Chilly grew up with an artificial tree at Christmas time, she can appreciate the wonderful fresh scent of pine.
Brian has the Christmas tunes on all the time - in the car, in the bathroom, in the main stereo- it's definitely Christmas time over here!
