Sonicare
Last time I was at the dentist, my dental hygienist recommended the Philips Sonicare toothbrush.
So, when I was back in VA, my purchases at the beloved Costco included a Phillips Sonicare pack! For $175 (w/a coupon) I got, not 1 BUT 2 Sonicares, travel kits and a sanitizer. One Sonicare and sanitizer usually goes for $179. What a steal!
Brian and I have been using our Sonicares and we love them. We have both seen a significant difference in the cleanliness and un-plaque-iness of our teeth. The sanitizer is a great addition and the travel pack comes with an extra charger. The toothbrush heads have their own case and then there's a packing case for the handle and two heads. Our specific toothbrush is the "HealthyWhite" which has 3 modes, clean and healthy, sensitive and clean. The HealthyWhite is compatible with "ProResults" head and "HydroClean" head and we have both of those attachments. Sonicare even has a kid version! When Lilly is old enough to really brush her teeth, you can be sure she'll be using a Sonicare.
They're quite the investment but you can buy them for pretty good prices at different online dealers like Amazon and they also carry them at Bed Bath & Beyond. With the 20% coupon BBB always mails out, that's a pretty good deal. And of course, if you are lucky enough to live in a state that has a Costco - they have them at great prices!
Happy Brushing!

Gah, I think I will have to upgrade to that. My last dental visit was bad. Maybe this will help.
