This year Thanksgiving was with the Tinaves side of the family and we all decided to take a vacation instead. Our destination? The Riviera Maya in Mexico! It was a welcome retreat for us coming from frigid North Dakota. We stayed at an all inclusive - the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. It was a great place that was perfect for kids (specific fun pools for kids, kids club) and lots of activities - perfect for me! The cousins had a great time playing with each other all day everyday in the wave pool. Since Brian and I are not strict on schedules - our girls played hard all day and barely made it through dinner. In fact, I'm pretty sure Bingo slept through every dinner but two. For the most part we stayed at the resort but took one afternoon to go farther south to Playa Del Carmen where we met up with a friend from Grand Forks who lives down there. Lilly won a hat during movie trivia one night! There were coatis everywhere! A native animal that looked like a raccoon. The girls loved the beach and playing in the sand and the piƱa coladas and strawberry daiquiris! Arisa and Dad went parasailing. It was great to see the family and we can't wait for our next trip! Most of the good pics are on Arisa's camera, so I'll post more when she sends them. Until then here are a few from my iPhone. Also, it was awful coming back to negative 25 degree windchills.
