Good afternoon blogworld.
It's a snow day...but everyday is a snowy and cold day here in North Dakota, much like it has been for the past 2 weeks. And for our readers - in much warmer places like D.C., Bermuda, San Diego and Seattle - it's horrible. Imagine a blustery wind with ice like snow blowing in your face and temperatures around negative 10 and wind chills at -30. There's no cancellation of school and people aren't storming the grocery stores for supplies because THIS IS NORMAL. I never thought I'd get used to a constant winter-wonderland, but I have. I still curse the fact that we live here everytime I brace myself against the wind in the Target parking lot, but life goes on.

Last Friday I had a meeting out in "the country" and amazed myself by being able to drive out there in white-out conditions. The snow was falling rapidly and I ended up being at the meeting for two hours. As I left at 1pm driving through the parking lot and the drive leading to the main road, big snowflakes fell to a drive that hadn't been plowed. It was hard to see and the left side of the car ended up going off the road. An hour later, I was towed out. UGH.
Lilly has been enjoying the snow. She likes wearing her snowsuit and the "swish" sound it makes when she walks. Last week I showed her how to make snowangels and she helped me shovel the walkway and sidewalk with her beach shovel.

San Diego was "cold" for a while, but it's finally started to warm back up into the 70's. Night time is still coldish, but I'm glad that the sun is back out. I'm sorry about getting towed out of the snow! Scary! Lilly looks adorable in her snowsuit!
Brrrr!!! Hope you guys are keeping warm!! I remember going to MN for a wedding late November one year...it was COLD!! Beautiful wedding, but we were freezing!!!
Is it a bad sign when icicles forms under your baby's chin? LOL.. I think she's also got a frozen tear drop falling.. Lilly put on your galoshes baby and come to Seattle to hang with the Bear!
