Thompson Homecoming King

On Fri. Sept. 7, Brian and I bundled the kids up and Grandma Bernie and headed out to Thompson to watch Jimmy play in his last Homecoming football game. He was also nominated for Homecoming King! In Thompson they play 9-man football and they were down 24-0 when we arrived during second quarter. But we were really there for the announcement of king and of course, our Jimmy WON! His queen was a girl named Shelby - (oddly enough, last year's queen was also named Shelby). The Thompson Tommies did end up losing but it was not a shutout with a score of 56-18, or something like that. Grandma Bernie was especially elated with Jim's coronation as she was East Grand Forks Senior Prom Queen 65 years ago!
