Harvest Gala

It's the fall so it's that time of year again - Altru's Harvest Gala!  This year the theme was Rio and it was 3 intense days of set up. (Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the girls!) The gala was a success and we raised over $174,000.00 for the renal dialysis program. Guests were greeted with complimentary ciapirinhas and champagne and traditional Brazilian appetizers. The dinner was delicious and the auction items (live and silent) went for good amounts. The speaker this year was a dialysis patient who is in his early 20's - dialysis affects everyone of all ages. While the gala is for the hospital and a lot of the attendees are employees/affiliated with the hospital, a good majority of the people are just regular Joes from the community too - like us. We had the highest attendance ever at 625 guests and it was held at the new fitness center before the center even opened. Here are some pics from the gala:
