3 Years 10 months: LILLY

Let us not forget to blog about Lilly's current progress!

This month Lilly will be 3 years old and 10 months.

Lilly enjoys going to school at St. Mary's. She loves it when she gets picked to do a job at school (changing the calendar day, dressing Olivia, being the line leader or the paper passer). She really likes eating lunch at school and talks about two little girlfriends - Finley and Breann.

Lilly likes eating hard-boiled eggs and strawberry flavored milk. Happy Meals from "Old McDonald's" are a favorite lunch for her.

Sadly she's not into Peppa Pig as much anymore. She does really enjoy watching Good Luck Charlie on the Disney Channel. She also loves watching Barbie movies. She likes playing with her Barbies and little Disney princess dolls... but I'm pretty sure it's not the "playing" that she likes but the setting up of all the little pieces in very particular places and order. She likes to lecture Bingo, Brian and I hear quite often, "Now Bingo, you have to stop doing that and be good. Stop being a naughty baby." Sometimes we also hear shrieks of "BINNGOOOOOO NOOOOO you're ruining my dolls!" - this is when Bingo is terrorizing her toys. She's very good though about "babysitting" Bingo - we hear a lot of "Bingo's going to the stairs! STAIRS! STAIRS!" Sometimes we hear "VOMIT! VOMIT!" With the addition of the McKenna doll to her American Girl stuff, Lilly has been into dressing up both McKenna and Bitty Baby. The author of the McKenna stories was here in GF last weekend so we took Lilly to get her books autographed which was fun for her. This month she went to two birthday parties - SANS parents! She's getting to be a big girl! She likes being challenged - so at home we work on letters and numbers, days and months. (I may or may not give her written tests). We've talked about Thanksgiving and the history behind it. We're getting ready for her winter dance recital -the class is doing a tap routine to Elmo's Jingle Bell Rock. She is still in swimming lessons and tennis lessons. The tennis interest is off and on - but she really likes swimming. Lilly is definitely our child who is into the "arts". We get a lot of random dance performances, singing performances, lots and lots of drawings. She also has been taking lots of pictures with my camera. And I don't know when it finally clicked but one day she said, "Mom I need to eat vegetables and fruits to be healthy". So we've been eating lots of apples and corn. She also loves her dad's clam chowder (just the potatoes and clams though).
