Summer is in full swing in North Dakota! The flowers are blooming, the sun sets aroung 9:30pm and the beet plant is in high production in EGF - as evidenced by the stench in the air.
Sam Lake (the Welder's lady) is in town so it's been nice for Chilly to have somebody to do things with -someone who can respond verbally, doesn't drool on her and she doesn't have to change her diapers.
Palay and Melissa also came to visit us this weekend. We were very happy to host them at the only bed and breakfast in town, 511 Reeves. (thank you Arisa!)
After all the interest in our vodka taste testing from a few weeks ago (Absolut ranked the highest and Grey Goose the lowest of 7 vodkas) we decided to have a tequila tasting. In a blind taste test of 7 participants and 8 tequilas, (Sauza, Patron, 1800, Don Julio, Don Eduardo, Jose Cuervo, Cazador and Margaritaville) Jimmy Buffett's tequila unanimously came out on top!
the most adorable girl in the world
Lilly has been exceptionally adorable this week. She turned 4 months old on May 28 - the same day as our 3 year Thai wedding anniversary. We went in for her 4 month check up and for now, she's definitely taking after Chilly at 23.5 inches long, putting her in the 25th percentile for her age. She's a good weight of 14lbs and her head circumfrence is 16 inches - both stats placing her in the 75th percentile.
practicing standing and walking with Grandma Dana
Lilly has taken an interest in actually grasping the rings on her bouncer, the toys on her jumper, Brian's cheeks and Chilly's hair. She has quite the grip! Let's hope Buttercup's tail never feels it.
Watch out Buttercup - I'm gonna get you!
Here's a video of Lilly being cute and distracted from her watermelon by Sam.
