It's been an exciting couple of days over here! On Thursday we celebrated Michael's 23rd birthday. We went the easy route for her birthday gift and bought from her wedding registry...is that fair or fun? We're not really sure, but the registry is compiled of things that her and Sam both want, right? We got a lot of baby things at Christmas time and on our birthdays...so it's the same idea.

Friday night Max came over and he and Brian got to work carving our four pumpkins. We ended up with an eyeball, the Batman symbol, a ghoulish pig and the WM logo. Our Tribe pride was fitting since Chilly and Lilly were dressed up as WM cheerleaders for Halloween. (We're instilling William and Mary in Lilly at a young age). Chilly is very happy that she still fits in her cheer uniform after 5 years and 1 baby. (AND there was room to spare!) Lilly looked utterly adorable in her matching Tribe uniform. Brian donned his WM t-shirt, belt and coffee cup. We gave out treats at Great-Grandma Bernie's, Grandma and Grandpa Goodman's and Great-Uncle Barry and Great-Aunt Amy's houses. Then we rushed home to hand out treats to the little goblins on our street. We had a total of 161 trick-or-treaters! (plus 2 repeaters - Brian was NOT happy about this and gave the two girls only ONE piece of candy each)
The cheerleading costumes were well received by the kids and parents alike! A group of trick-or-treaters came to the door and recognized Chilly and Lilly. The girl said "I know you! You go to the gym and she cries at the daycare there!" SWEET. Lilly is THAT baby. We handed out "adult treats" as well (spiced cider and Captain Morgan) which many parents appreciated and enjoyed. The best "group" costumes definitely go to the "Fruit of the Loom" girls... purple balloons for the purple grapes...there was also the little boy with the homemade Transformer costume (much better than the many store bought ones we saw) PLUS his dad was wearing a Transformer costume too. There were quite a few Hannah Montanas (we think) and definitely a lot of Spidermans.
We have 4 bags of candy left and there's no doubt that they'll be gone before next week. Don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight! Happy Halloween!!
