MRSA

To clarify, we are in VA taking care of my dad/Lilly's Tha bc he has a staph infection in his left foot. He cut his foot while in Thailand and it was an open wound. He then stepped in some stagnant bacteria filled water and thus the staph infection. He's very lucky that it didn't go deeper than the first few layers of tissue. Here's the wound I treat and dress everyday. You can see that it's still open - that's to allow it to continue to drain. Technically it's MRSA: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA): a bacterial infection that is highly resistant to some antibiotics. The following pics are a little grody, but his foot is actually VERY healthy and clean! Apparently it has vastly improved from last Tuesday.

Check this out for more information: MRSA

Whoa, I'm glad he's recovering well!!! MRSA is what I'm told, no joke. I had a really ugly staph infection on my back, but it tested negative for being MRSA, so I can see how a staph infection can get pretty scary.

Other than that, hope you're enjoying your VA trip!!

OMG!! Glad to hear that he's doing better. Please tell Khun Loong to "hai rew rew" :) Hope you and Lilly have fun in Vienna! Hey, if you want, we could meet up in Fredericksburg one day if you have time this trip! We could take Lilly to FunLand in Central Park! :)
