Busy Bee

We've moved into October in VA and the weather is definitely crisper - in fact it's warmer in North Dakota right now than it is here. Although we miss our scheduled classes in GF we're finding lots for Lilly to do out here. This past Saturday we attended storytime at the beautiful Meadowlark Gardens (this was a possible site for our wedding while we were debating between NoVA and Williamsburg) and Vienna's Oktoberfest which had tons of children's activities and we're regulars at Patrick Henry library. I also ordered some Olivia episodes for the Bug since Yai and Tha don't have extended cable - so we haven't been able to watch Nick Jr. Lilly's dance teacher also gave us the music from her dance classes, so we've been practicing a bit as well. Lilly has learned to say her own name, elbow, Elmo, movie, home, house and soup. She knows all the hand movements to my renditions of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".

We're on the search for a Halloween costume. At first, she was going to be a bumblebee since Auntie Arisa got her the costume, but it's just a tad big still. She does however enjoy wearing it! She loves the antennas and she sashays about with the tutu part of the costume. She always admires herself in the mirror when she has the costume on. Auntie Arisa also surprised her with...the OLIVIA doll! Thank you Pottery Barn Kids!

There have been NO Bear sightings yet at all! My nephew (according to the doctor) was due almost two weeks ago! He's healthy but apparently very happy being inside the womb. He's weighing in at 9lbs, the doctor estimates. It's most unfortunate that he still hasn't arrive bc his Yai has already gone to Seattle and is BACK! She went out there the week before he was due and stayed for a week after, but came back on Monday. Auntie Arisa is headed out there this Saturday. (Originally she thought he'd be a few weeks old at that point). So Pe-Jim has taken the next two weeks off and is headed out to Seattle as well to help care for the Bear (if he ever arrives) and for Auntie Jubs. Pe-Jim is a pro at it! (literally - she's works in the maternity ward at a hospital in Los Angeles and specializes in post-natal care). This week, they're going to let the Bear take his time and if he makes no moves, Saturday evening Jubs will be induced. Who knows, we may get a 10/10/10 baby!

Ah!!! It's my very own Olivia!!!
