The day after Thanksgiving, Santa Brian comes out and hangs out until New Year's. So all of our music options have been Christmas selections only and "Serendipity", "Love Actually" (2 of Brian's favorite movies ever), the cartoon version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "Elf", "Mickey's Christmas Carol" and "Barbie's Perfect Christmas" has been on steady rotation. Don't worry we've still got at least 7 other holiday movies to watch and "Disney's Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas" to surprise Lilly with.
Lilly is LOVING this whole Christmas thing. She loves loves loves the singing - especially "fa la la la la...deck the hall with balls of holly" she sings - ALL DAY LONG. She also sings "do hu doorway" from the Grinch's "Welcome Christmas" (actual lyric is dahoo damus). Her ear infection may be the cause of her mishearing the lyrics to Deck the Halls and Welcome Christmas. Either way - this kid is ready to carol!
Saturday we began our Christmas decorating with our annual trip to All Seasons to choose our tree. Sunday evening we decorated our big tree and a little one for Lilly's room. This year Lilly excitedly got to put ornaments on both trees by herself. She oohed and ahhed over every single ornament and carefully placed each one on the branches. She also lovingly placed Brian's beloved angel (from our Christmas trees in college) at the top of our family tree.
