Halloween 2011

Halloween was long this year! Grand Forks celebrates Halloween for two weeks and there was a lot to do this year! Lilly wore three different costumes for the various parties: the bumblebee, Cinderella and a pirate. The day of Halloween we had our friends over and the parents and kids went trick-or-treating along our street and then came back for pizza. Lilly loved trick-or-treating. She ran from door to door, was always the first in the group to be there and she happily cried "Trick-or-Treat!" and said thank you. I was on candy duty and counted 162 trick-or-treaters. The kids started trick-or-treating around 6 and were back by 7pm. We ended the night by visiting Grandpa Ron and Grandma Dana on the other side of town. Lilly is already looking forward next year but is heartbroken that the squirrels keep nibbling at our pumpkins. She is finding comfort in Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Lilly and Ella look too cute during their little snack break (love the rosy cheeks and noses!). Brian did an excellent job with those jack o'lanterns! You really didn't know how big they really were until they were scaled when Lilly and Katherine were sitting next to them - those are some HUGE pumpkins!
