A week late but Bingo turned two months on Apr. 14!
Our kiddo went to her 2 month doctor's appointment on Fri. Apr. 13 and measured in at 21.5 inches long and just a smidge under 11 lbs. That's some major growth from her 4 days state of 18.75 inches and 6 lbs 6.3oz. Poor kid also had to get her 2 month vaccinations (hepatitis B, polio, pneumococcal, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, rotavirus and Hib), but she was a major trooper. That's a lot of shots and BIG needles for the little one. Cried for just a few seconds and that was it. She was rather sleepy the rest of the day but no fever or whining. Bingo is a CHAMP.
I did ask our pediatrician about a series of bumps that Bingo has on her chin. They are skin-colored and under the skin. She isn't bothered by them (applying pressure) nor are they ever discolored. I can't remember clearly if she was born with them, but she's definitely had them since she was at least two weeks old. The doctor wasn't sure what it was so we had to get an ultrasound which was sent to the children's hospital in St. Paul. The radiologist there confirmed that there was no blood (not a tumor) but was unsure of what it was. Our pediatrician suggested maybe making an appointment with the dermatologist. Thankfully, we are friends with the dermatologist so we high-tailed it over to her home to have her take a look. She thinks it could be an early Nevus comedonicus, Nevus sebaceous or pilomatricoma - basically a "white-mole" that we should watch and we may want removed in the future.
Other than that - Bingo is still the world's most easy-go lucky child. She's very content to sit and swing or just look at her extremely loud sister or being "snuggled" by Lilly (aka - smothered). She does like to play and coo and smile and man, she's got a GREAT smile! In fact, she's smiling in her sleep right now! Her hair is still wildly thick and she has a natural "Kate Gosselin" hairstyle. Unfortunately she still has major cradle cap going on. Her eyelashes have come in and we're pretty sure that they will be as thick and as long as Lilly's. She's also getting chunky - in the cute baby way. She's a good back scooter, I've found her in different locations in the crib. She's trying SO HARD to turn over from back to tummy and she's turned over once (4/15) tummy to back.
