Saturday night a big group of us went to see 90's rapper, Coolio. You may remember his hits, "Fantastic Voyage", "1,2,3,4" and "Gangsta's Paradise". The concert was at Crosstown Bar - where Sam used to manage. In fact, Sam and the owner of the bar went to pick Coolio up from the airport! We took this opportunity to have Sam get the "Cooking with Coolio" cookbook signed.Our friend Carson found it at the local Mayville (ND) Pamida. (Pamida is a "department store" for smaller communities). We also got the special task of finding an inhaler for Coolio - who forgot his - he's a spokesperson for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. So we had a "cooking with coolio" pre-party - and the food was actually REALLY good. We also had 40's and a great soundtrack of 90's rap. We got to Crosstown at 1030pm and Coolio still wasn't there. A few of my girlfriends and I got to the front of the stage and were sung to, pulled up on stage and enjoyed the concert from a prime location. Was it the greatest concert ever? No, but it was definitely a fun night.
