Bingo is ONE

Valentine's Day shall now be known as BINGO's BIRTHDAY! and our little miss is offically ONE YEAR old! how quickly time has flown by!

tiny peanut at 2 weeks old
Bingo is a doll. She wakes up smiling and is a very happy baby. While we were in California her 8th tooth (bottom fourth) finally broke through so she has a very toothy grin with her top 4 and bottom 4 teeth. She sports a little bob haircut and loves to shake her head fast so that she can see her hair swish back and forth. She's taken a cue from her sister and LOVES to dance - she bobs her head and sways her body to the beat. (view previous Valentine's Day post) She's hasn't crossed a room yet, but certainly takes a few steps on her own. She has discovered how to sit on ride-along toys, although at first she tried to bounce on them since she's so use to bouncing on Rody. She is a CLIMBER. She climbs everything - not just the stairs anymore! We've found her on top of chairs, tables, the couch and toys and bins. She's taken an interest in books and likes to flip pages.

She's a smart baby! (ok i'm a proud mother too) but really!! The stackable rings by Fisher-Price? She can actually STACK them! (usually in order too by size!) The hand-eye coordination at this age is not typically that advanced - I asked the doctor. She also understands how to play with the baby dolls, she'll hug them and wrap them in blankets - this I think definitely comes from watching big sister play. Bingo is an observer. She has started music class this semester and although she's in a class with kids older than her (18 months +) she is attentive to the teacher, plays and follows instructions and loves being there. Bingo in general, loves being around other (older) kids. I think seeing the older kids stimulates her to want to walk and imitate. She loves playing with legos (the big kind) and blocks. She understands the everyday uses of things: brushes and combs for hair, tea cups to drink out of and she tries to feed herself with a spoon.

Oh and she still loves to eat. She's been eating a lot of scrambled eggs for breakfast and we are now on whole milk (from the cow...no more expensive formula!). She is a chocolate lover. She's still infatuated with Buttercup - that elusive cat just never lets her get near enough. Instead Bingo gets her furry friend fix with stuffed animals. I've never seen a kid like a stuffed animal like Bingo.

She enjoys most people - obviously those that she's most familiar with: mom, dad, Lilly, the Goodman boys, Ron & Dana and the Tinaves family via Skype! She knows that the computer turning on and the ringing of a phone means Tha's calling to talk on Skype. Her bestest buddy of all though is her big sister. She loves being with Lilly (even though sometimes she bites Lilly and slaps Lilly).

She can say: Dada for sure and sometimes we'll hear: Lilly (only once), Tha, Yai, Hi, mama. BA - is for bottle. and she's been repeating words too.

Now for her physical stats: height: 29.5 inches weight: 20 lbs head circumference: 18.5 inches. Also she has a double ear infection. Now before you say that we're bad parents - let me say that Lilly never had an ear infection until she was almost 3 and could tell us that her ears hurt AND all of the other moms that I know have said that their kids cry in pain from ear infections. Well, Bingo doesn't cry. She just smiles. Apparently cold symptoms (runny nose and cough) are also signs of an ear infection. Good thing is that she likes amoxicillin.

Because her birthday is on such a big day for couples we had a small (mostly) family get together the next night at the country club. At first she didn't know what to do with the cake.

Happy 1st Birthday Viv!! Can you believe she's already one?! Love the studio photos of her (and Lilly in your previous post!)...super cute girls. Oh and who doesn't like Amoxicillin?! :) I think every kid would down meds as quickly if they were bubble gum colored and flavored :) Big hugs for both the girls from Auntie Pim and Uncle Gary!!

Eating and wearing cake.. YUM.

You're never too young for your first set of gorgeous pearls.

Love that 80's retro belt Lilly's wearing in "naughty monkey" shot.

Happy 1st year Bingy!!!
