The Goodmans: Lilly's 4th Birthday!

We were in California for Lilly's fourth birthday! Before we left for California we hosted Lilly's birthday party with friends and family at the local bowling alley. The kids had a great time. From us Lilly received a big girl bike - we went from 12" wheels to 16".

In California we went to Disneyland and then on Monday (her actual birthday) we started the day off at the restaurant at the hotel were the staff (we were regulars by this point) surprised Lilly with chocolate cake. The girl loved it - bacon and chocolate for breakfast - her faves. We went on the Tramway that evening (free for the birthday girl) and then mixed a business dinner with a birthday dinner with our friends from Ohio.

When we got back to GF Lilly's 4 year old check -up went pretty well, besides an ear infection in her left ear. Poor babe did not do well with getting her vaccinations (shots) and nasal flu vaccination. Lilly measures in at a height of 40.25 inches and weighs in at 35.2 lbs.

Lilly is smart and talkative and a "know-it-all". She's given up Nick Jr. for the more "big kid" shows on the Disney Channel. Although she has been repeating the behavior we watch on these shows - so we've taken a hiatus from TV this week. She loves Barbie movies especially Barbie and the Three Musketeers. She knows all her letters and loves drawing and writing "words" (usually a mix of letters), but sometimes she'll ask us to spell words out for her. She can spell her name, dad, mom and goodman. She can also figure out the letter for words if you sound it out for her. She so desperately wants to be able to spell and read. She knows 1-10 and is just getting into the teens. She's enjoyed tennis and swimming and can hold her breath underwater and doesn't mind dunking her head. She likes to help cook and wear dresses and fancy shoes. Its unfortunate that we live where its cold bc if she could, she'd wear a dress everyday. She does enjoy shoveling the snow though. Lilly is still a singer and a dancer and loves to play pretend. Still a fan of tea parties, but an even bigger fan of American Girl dolls.

She really likes playing with the iPad and thanks to Tha, Yai and Reesie - she has "saved" enough money to buy her own! Pre-school app suggestions appreciated. :-)
