As you can see, Lilly is inspired by a Fisher-Price color palette as opposed to Van Gogh's dark Dutch and airy and colorful Arles. She does however, like any good artist - dabble in other creative outlets, sometimes combining the two. We like to call the below, "Ode to My Hand".

Young Van Gogh
Yai and Tha got Lilly an easel for her birthday and Ba-Jubs, Uncle Randy and Cousin Bear got her the Melissa & Doug easel companion kit (paints, chalk, paper, dry erase marker, eraser) to go with it. After two weeks of begging to paint, much to her delight, I finally set the whole thing up on Friday night. She's such a little artist!

Bear would like an autographed work of art for his bedroom wall.
Someday it will be priceless.. just like Lilly's "Ode to My Hand"
If you go to Michael's, they sell packs of canvases... I suggest giving that a shot! I do this for Zoe and Niska... makes for awesome presents.
Wow. Her voice has really developed since the " Ode to the Dollar". I also love that Chilly patiently waits 1 minute and 12 seconds into the Ode before suggesting that Lilly might not want to paint her hand. PRICELESS.
So cute! That's a really good picture! Hope you guys are doing well :)
Bear and I keep watching this every morning.. I love her different inflections and emotional facial features and meaningful body movements that go along with all the many ways.. she sings ".. maaa hannnnd..." A mini Celine Dion perhaps?
such passion in her voice and expression. so funny! my favorite is "i don't know...my hand?"
