A Glimpse

Here's a glimpse of teenage Lilly:

The hat is this year's winter hat and she loves it. She wears it everywhere. Please note my car keys in her hands and her high heels from her princess dress-up set.  And that's her "cell phone" next to her ear.

"I'm ready to go, ok?" direct quote from the Bug.

The past week she has ended everything she says with "ok?". "I'm not eating this, ok?" "I'm playing with play-doh, ok?"

She has also started "hitting". It's a light tap and sometimes a push - but she's NEVER done this before. I blame the aggressive little girl and brutish little boy in her gymnastics class for this learned behavior. Lilly will sit down next to the little girl as instructed and the little girl will shove her and the little boy is just a demon. I mean Lilly is not a perfect angel but she's not mean! (except to Brian and I, as we've been the only recipients of her attempts at hitting...thankfully!)

She still answers, "Oh yes!" But now she mixes it up with "Oh yes, I do!" Her verbal skills are increasing by leaps and bounds everyday. This includes repeating EVERYTHING we say, so we've taken to spelling out "bad" words now.

Alrighty, that's it for now, ok?

To cute!!! She looks so much older & taller in that photo! Oh yes, I do remember when my cousin's kids began parroting adults...gotta be EXTRA careful, "ok?" :)

you realize, she will catch on to the spelling too... even our Dog knows when we spell out R-I-D-E. lol

You and Brian are in trouble when she's a teenager!
