We finally made it to a Chuck E. Cheese. Wednesday we joined Lilly's buddy Myles, baby Cole and their mom and another mom and kid at the entertainment restaurant. We did have to drive an hour south since it is located in Fargo and for some bizarre reason we HAD to be there at 10am when it opened. BUT, being there early was nice since it was just our three toddlers and Cole who is just getting his walking legs. Chuck E. Cheese is not all of what I remembered it to be - no more ball pit - instead its a tunnel/climbing/slide system. Still tons of skeeball, rides and other games that shoot out tickets. Instead of having to count each ticket, you feed your tickets into a machine that counts the total and gives you a receipt. The animated robots on stage are still the same. Lilly had a great time! She rode lots of the "rides" (a version of a car/motorcycle/etc.) and we played games that gave us tickets. She took great pleasure in ripping the tickets from the dispenser. She also was very much into air hockey like Ba-Jubs. Me thinks we've found the perfect place for Lilly's next birthday party!
* thank you Uncle Graham for the Candy Monster shirt - Lilly wore it very proudly and told everyone "Graham got this for me!"
