Here is where the baby's at. I'm thinking it's a girl. Still tired in the afternoon and I've had some pounding headaches... but these may be caused by Lilly. Sometimes I wish there was a place to drop her off, but she's had some major separation anxiety lately that I don't dare leave her at the drop-in-daycare. Gaining 5 pounds and having a stuffy nose is typical at this point...I am happy to say I have not gained the weight but I believe that is because I've had no appetite and have been going to my trainers and teaching Turbo Kick non-stop - one hour of high intensity cardio will do that to you. Stuffy nose - have that - but when do I not? I see a little bit of a baby bump. Will post a pic soon.
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.
