Haircut and Homework

Not much to report here, although last week was quite exciting for the East Coast with the earthquake and Hurricane Irene! Brian left us last weekend for a bachelor party so Lilly and I spent the weekend eating out, shopping and going to the salon. Lilly got her haircut for the first time in a year. We went to my friend's salon (which is an adult salon) - there are no kid specific places in Grand Forks. Lilly was a champ but it was difficult during the shampooing - I had to pick her up, bc no amount of booster seats or heightened chair could help Lilly tilt her head back. She got 2 inches cut off, but it is still pretty long.

Lilly also got her first homework assignment at school; her personal page for the class book stating her name and what she likes to do. We added a photo, some stickers and she drew her usual circle and curlicues. School is still a trial - separation anxiety rears its ugly head?!? But come September she will be going in the morning on Wednesday which should be helpful since her buddy Myles will be in her class then.
