| Brian and friend playing Glow-In-The-Dark golf |
Brian Goodman: Managing the kickball team, his fantasy football league and his Spotify account has kept him busy but not too busy to still be out on the golf course. Although the temperature has dropped from 90 degrees to 50 degrees this week, little Brian is still braving the North Dakota wind and loving Men's Night at the Club...you know, the night when his cell phone battery mysteriously "dies"....this happens EVERY Men's Night. Also most men don't really keep their "wedding clothes" nor do they lament that they'll never wear it again - NOT the case for Brian G. His super cool Thai silk MC Hammer jacket from the Thai wedding will be coming OUT of the back of the closet and making an appearance for the Altru Harvest Gala. (our local hospital's fundraiser ball). He is a little concerned as to whether it'll still fit...welcome to the life of a female.

Princess Buttercup Goodman: Little Buttercup is loving the autumn air. Her coat has gotten thicker and she's taken to sleeping in Lilly's bed with the Bug. She's absolutely okay with Lilly being in her face, but she abhors Lilly's overzealous friends chasing after her when they are over at the house.

Lilly Goodman: she is changing so quickly! We've been working on her manners, asking "May I please..." but it always comes out: "Please I may have ..." She's grown an inch since July and now measures 35 1/2 inches tall. Since measuring her on Sunday she has become obsessed with using the measuring tape - whether it's to measure Brian or a tower that she builds. Everything always measures "100 plus!" We have no idea where that comes from. Unfortunately she despises going to school and dance class. She has spent the past two dance classes sitting in my lap, occasionally dancing and only being enthusiastic when it's time for stamps at the end of class. She really understands how to play with Barbies and sets up her Olivia house correctly. It's very cute to hear her Barbies having conversations. Santa Brian predicts a dollhouse arriving for the Bug this Christmas!Lilly has a fantastic love for books (especially on the loo) and can often "read" a book for you. She has a great memory for stories! She loves her "Ladybug Girl" books (from Grandpa Ron), the Kevin Henkes boks (thank you Som Som) and Disney's Cinderella. She still loves Cinderella the movie and would like to be Cinderella for Halloween. Sometimes she'll say she wants to be a cupcake or a puppy (like Bruno) or a witch, but more often than not, Cinderella is the number one choice. Lilly is super excited about going to Disney World for her birthday (and Chuck E. Cheese!)
Baby Goodman: Baby Goodman is 4 months along. Today we had a doctor appointment and the baby had a strong heartbeat of 158. I'd like to say that this pregnancy has been easy but I've had major congestion to the point where it's hard to breathe and walking up the stairs at the gym carrying Lilly tires me out. Nasal decongestant and a humidifier helps but it's still hard. Unlike the pregnancy with Lilly I have been "sick"... but only on 3 isolated occasions - one I took a pre-natal first thing in the morning, 2 - I think it was my friend's cooking and then earlier this week - it was congestion induced vomiting....either that or the baby DOES NOT LIKE "Flaming Hot Cheetos". Lilly likes to talk to Baby Goodman and has decided on the name for a baby. Doesn't matter if the baby is a boy or a girl...or a dog... Lilly wants it to be named "B-I-N-G-O!" For the past month if you ask her what she wants to name the baby, that is her answer.
| Week 16. Huge. |
Chilly Goodman: Besides being completely congested, I've been very busy. Teaching Turbo Kick has been great and I've had fantastic attendance at my classes. I will be extremely busy these next two weeks leading up the hospital's Harvest Gala. I'm on the planning committee and the gala is Sat. Oct. 1. It is Indian themed this year and I have a beautiful sari that I will be wearing. Brian and I are also auctioning off a Thai dinner as a silent auction item. Following the gala I am tri-chairing the Grand Forks Republican Women's Holiday Home Tour and that is a monstrous task that is a big headache. But I enjoy planning these kinds of events - so we'll see how they turn out. Both events are major fundraisers. The Gala this year will benefit hospice and the Holiday Home Tour profits are donated to local campaigns. On that note, if anyone wants to buy a raffle ticket for a 50/50 (the chance to win up to $4000) for the Gala, it's $5/ticket or 3tix/$10!
