Way With Words

Yesterday morning Lilly and I walked by the $1.00 area at Target. She saw some sand buckets and shovels and very sweetly asked:

"Can I get this? I want to give this to my brother or sister!"

How could I say no? Especially since it was only $0.50 a piece. I figured we could bring it to Hawaii. We purchased the buckets and shovels and went home and relayed the story to Brian.

Later that evening she told Brian:

"I want to play with the bucket and shovel."

Brian: "Lilly, you bought that as a present for your brother or sister. You can't play with it yet."

Lilly "My brother or sister wants to SHARE with me Daddy. OPEN IT."

At least Lilly is learning about sharing!
