On Sunday we hosted Lilly's 3rd birthday party with our GF friends and family. Originally slated to be held at Chuck E. Cheese (an hour south in Fargo) we had to readjust our plans since it snowed Saturday night. We ended up at a pizza parlor in town with a very small game room - but it ended up being perfect and LOCAL - so noone had to drive far. Lilly has been on a big Disney Princess kick so she decided she would wear her Cinderella costume from Halloween. All day she wore the "Goodman Happy Birthday" hat that started on Grandma Bernie's 80th birthday 3 years ago. She had a wonderful time with her buddies and the whole Goodman gang. Big thanks to Auntie Michael and Uncle Sam who assisted us throughout the party and to the Goodman boys for helping us watch the kids. Lilly was hilarious bc a. she was in her Cinderella costume, b. she was wearing that ridiculous pimp birthday hat adn c. she was very content to just sit in the "car" ride with a drink in hand while her little friends played games and won tickets. A delightful highlight of the afternoon was during the pinata. Nowadays you don't have to bash a pinata, you just pull a ribbon. So the the 10 kids that were there went through the line 2 trying to pull the right string when little Ella (who turned 2 in August) decided to just pull all of them at once - and then there was candy! On Lilly's actual birthday, Saturday, January 28th we will be in Disney World! Brian's Omni conference is there this year and so lucky Lilly will be having a Disney birthday!
