Hammin' & Jammin'

Saturday mornings are reserved for Brian and Lilly time, but today Brian had Lilly all day. They attended her swim lesson and proceeded to make an early (sorta) Thanksgiving meal. Lilly was a big help to Brian in the kitchen. The step ladder is her favorite new thing, since it allows her to see what we're doing on the counter. (nowhere near the stove, of course) She even helped make the whipped cream...which she ate on its own for her dessert. Brian's meal was extraordinary. He made a glazed ham, green bean casserole, corn souflee and a mashed potato, parsnip, parmesean dish. As if that feast wasn't enough, Lilly and Brian made a banana pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream. DELICIOUS.

Thankfully, I burned off enough calories today to thoroughly enjoy the feast. I spent all day (8-5) working out and  getting trained and certified for one of my favorite workouts - TurboJam! I don't really aspire to teach, but I loved the old instructor who taught it, the class is fun and it's one of the best workouts I've ever done. It's 138 beats per minute and set at 32 phrase counts, (how's that for official lingo?) so if you can count and have rhythm, you can get it. That's probably part of the reason I like it so much, it reminds me of cheerleading. I've blogged about the merits of Turbo Jam before, so the new news is that in 4-6 weeks I'll be a certified trainer of Turbo Jam! I am amped to now own the CD and DVD to do at home. Sisters - get ready, there will be turbo-jamming going on in Seattle!

BTW - it snowed in Minneapolis today. More than likely it'll be snowing here soon too. ugh.

there was enough snow this morning that the girls could build a snowman. Uncle David's picture.
