TIMBER in Seattle

The snow has steadily fallen since Monday here in Seattle and it crippled the metropolis for the first few hours. For the three of us who reside in ND, we laughed. The family has been flying in everyday leading up to Thanksgiving; Lilly and I got here Saturday, Mom, Dad and Arisa on Sunday, Brian on Tuesday and Bubs on Wednesday. Of course we've all been fawning over Baby Bear, who is as Lilly says, "MY baby".

Bear is a very sweet and good-natured 6 week old. He only cries when he's frustrated and is very content to sit in his swing and watch everyone around him. He's weighing in at 13lbs of love and chipmunk cheeks. Lilly enjoys holding him, giving him baths, kissing him and all-around being in his face. The first thing she says as she wakes up and looks around is, "Where's baby?"

Wednesday afternoon we went to North Bend, WA to visit Jubs' friend's family's Christmas tree farm, Crown Tree Farm. Up in the mountains and covered in fresh snow, we searched for the Kilmer Christmas tree. When we located the perfect tree, Brian and Randy sawed down the Turkish fir and strapped it on to the roof of the van. At first Lilly did not want to stand in the snow, but after Auntie Risa showed her how to put her hands in her coat pocket, she was much more receptive to the wintry weather. She was thrilled with the tree in the living room and we'll be decorating it later today. Another blog to come!
