When Cats Attack

Princess Buttercup has lived with us for almost 8 years now and she's been pretty tame. We don't know much about her previous life before she was adopted from the SPCA, but we do know that she became a very pampered kitty. A kitty who lived in Williamsburg during the school year and would FLY back and forth to North Dakota for Thanksgiving, Christmas and summer breaks.

It was during those breaks in North Dakota that she was able to "hunt" around Ron and Dana's house. She once brought a live mouse into the house. She had the mouse caught in her mouth and she released it to play with it, much to Dana's dismay.

Since moving into our home in 2005, Buttercup has stopped her hunting of mice and birds and other critters. Usually she brings home earthworms or dragonflies... until LAST NIGHT. Brian walked out of the side door and there was a present waiting for him!!! THE CAT IS BACK! Watch out animals of Chestnut Street.

OMG - your Buttercup is like our Mabel!! A couple of years ago when we went to San Diego for about 10 days and we came home to find SIX dead squirrels around our house! (girl, and you KNOW how "chubby" those VA squirrels can be!!!) Needless to say, its a total pet/animal cemetary right at the woodline of our property. Gotta love cats! :)

I just reread my comment and it makes it seem like we're horrible "parents" that neglect our "kids!" Please know that we have a petsitter that checks in on the dogs and our cat when we're vacationing LOL!!!
